The first goal in Sunday’s Genero Adran North battle at the Rec was always going to be very important.
In the opening half hour, both sides had chances and shots were fired in at either end.
However, once Llandudno broke the deadlock it gave them the momentum to go on and record an emphatic victory.
Beaten 2-1 at Pwllheli in the Welsh Cup earlier this season, Tudno turned the tables in style, also bringing an abrupt halt to the Llyn side’s seven-match winning streak.
Llandudno took the lead on 30 minutes when Samantha Jarvis-Evans sent a throw down the right-wing to Kelsey Davies.
Former Wales international Davies drove to the edge of the box and drilled hard and low into the bottom corner.
Two goals in first-half added time really put the Seasiders in command.
Becky Jarvis-Evans brought the ball out from the back and fed it down the left to Ceri Slaney. Gaps opened at the back for Pwllheli which allowed Slaney to play a comfortable pass into Ella Jones, who slotted in her 20th goal of the season.
Soon after Slaney received the ball from a rebound and crossed, Maddie Williams slid in and scored in the bottom right-hand corner.
Three minutes into the second half, Ella Jones struck again.
Davies touched on a high ball, putting Jones one-on-one with keeper Elena Julio and the young striker came out on top.
In the 72nd minute Stacey Tradewell found Ffion Owen, whose first attempt hit the crossbar. Two more Owen efforts came back off keeper Julio before the former Caernarfon Town and Amlwch midfielder toed the ball home for 5-0.
Sofie Owen also went close with a stunning strike from around 55 yards. The ball seemed to be dipping just under the bar, but Julio produced a great save to push it over.
