RHYL AND DISTRICT SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

MATCH DAY EIGHT FIXTURES AND PREVIEWS

NWCFA SUNDAY CHALLENGE CUP QUARTER-FINALS – NOVEMBER 7 (11 AM KICK-OFFS)

  • Extra time and penalties if required. Name five (5) substitutes, play three (3).

Conwy Comrades v Bar Bow

Last weekend’s hat-trick hero for Comrades, Kai Davies, celebrates his 28th birthday on Sunday and will want to mark the occasion with a win for his team.

However, the home side will come up against a Bar Bow outfit which has scored 15 goals in their last two games and so will enter this NWCFA Challenge Cup quarter-final with confidence.

Earlier this season, Comrades won 5-2 at Bar Bow in the league and will be out for a repeat.

The Alex v Y Clwb

The Alex have been shipping a lot of goals this season and will need to batten down the hatches if they are to avoid defeat against an unbeaten Y Clwb outfit.

The Glan Conwy-based visitors have won three out of four so far and are far from shy in the goals department.

FC Mally v The Millbank

Joint league leaders The Millbank have almost always found a way to win this season, many of their games being thrillers.

Such was the case on October 3, when a late goal earned the Rhyl side a 3-2 league victory over Mally.

The Junction hosts will be out for revenge in a competition where they have a fantastic record.

Andy Colville’s men have won the cup four times and are the present holders, the competition not being completed due to Covid since 2018-19, when Mally beat FC Prestatyn 5-0 in the final.

Royal Oak v Six Bells

Although the Oak have struggled for consistency overall this season, they will have been buoyed by their 3-0 victory over Millbank on October 24.

Six Bells will be keen for some action, having not played since October 10 when they were pipped 5-4 at Millbank.

Bells have taken on the Oak once already this season, beating them 5-2 on September 26.
