Rhyl and District Sunday Football League restarts

The Millbank (maroon) and FC Mally compete in a friendly during the summer

Tomorrow sees the restart of the Rhyl and District Sunday Football League.

After two seasons of disruption due to Covid, it is hoped the league’s 2021-22 campaign can be its first complete one since 2018-19.

In recent years North Wales has lost some great Sunday football competitions, but the Rhyl and District remains strong.

Nine teams will take part in this season’s league, based in Rhyl, Prestatyn, Llandudno, Conwy, Llandudno Junction and Glan Conwy.

As per usual, one of the chief sides to beat will be the mighty FC Mally of the Junction.

This amazing team has won three quadruples and a treble in recent seasons under the management of Andy Colville and Nathan Watson.

Everyone will be out to knock the Mally off their perch, including the Millbank, who defeated the Junction stars in a friendly earlier this summer. However, now the real competition starts………

The nine teams competing in 2021-22 are:
