NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE

Premier Division

CPD Llansannan 3 CPD Bro Cernyw 1

Home side Llansannan needed an 83rd minute goal from Gruffudd Roberts to make sure of the three points against battling visitors Bro Cernyw.

Gwion Evans netted after four and 14 minutes of the first half to put Sannan in command, and it could have been more emphatic had Adam Gage not missed a penalty.

Eleven minutes into the second half, William Hughes hit back to give Bro hope, but that goal seven minutes from the end by Roberts settled it.

Cerrig moved 10 points clear at the Division One peak after edging an 11-goal thriller against Penrhyn Bay played on the Parc Eirias 3G at Colwyn Bay.

Penrhyn started well. Stan Farrell put them one-up after five minutes before an Alun Kimberley own goal on 12 made it 2-0.

Tirion Griffiths pulled one back for Cerrig on the half-hour before Rob Parry levelled matters just before half-time.

Scott Kearney put Bay back in front on 53 minutes, but Parry restored parity soon after.

Griffiths struck again for the visitors to put them 4-3 ahead on 66 minutes, then Tomos Tryfan Jones added another for Cerrig on 77.

It looked like the Dragons had snatched a dramatic point after Billy Machin and Osian Spencer both scored to make it 5-5 in added time, but in the 93rd minute Griffiths completed his hat-trick to win it for Cerrig.

Due to the weather, this match was switched to Coronation Gardens, Rhyl and just like the first meeting of these sides this season, which finished goalless, the second installment was mightily close too.

The Dragons finished up 1-0 winners thanks to Dan Williams’ close range effort on 74 minutes.
