Five weeks into the 2021-22 North Wales Women’s football season and a 17-year-old hot prospect is leading the goal scorers chart.
Ella Jones has netted 11 times in her first five matches for Genero Adran North club Llandudno.
The teenager came to prominence as a hat-trick hero in Penrhyn Bay’s 2018-19 FAW Under-16 Welsh Cup final 3-2 victory over Villa Dino Christchurch at Aberystwyth.
Ella notched nine in her first three matches for Llandudno’s senior side this term, including four-goal hauls against Bethel in the league cup and at Denbigh in the FAW Women’s Cup.
Just two behind the Tudno ace is Rosie Hughes, who scored nine goals in her first three matches for new club Wrexham but has drawn a blank in her last two.
