Saturday saw the already-promoted Bay side wrap up the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition 2nd XI First Division championship with a 40-run victory at Spring View.
The North Walians were put into bat at Dower House Farm, a ground based in Platt Bridge, Wigan, Greater Manchester and set 169-9 off 44.3 overs.
Wicket-keeper Harry Spillane top-scored with 52 not out, Ross Hudson posted 37 and James Jones 30, Lewis Bamber 6-35 for the hosts.
Matt Russell then scooped 4-40 and Jamie Moorhouse 3-26 as Spring View were dismissed for 129.
Points went 24-7 to the Bay, meaning they finished top of the table on 365 ahead of Birkenhead Park 2nd XI 360.
So many players shone for the champions over the season, making it very much a team effort, with James Jones producing the division’s best bowling figures of 9-34.
