Matt Russell claimed a magnificent 6-33 as Colwyn Bay seconds remained among the First Division high-flyers with a home win over Birkenhead Park on Sunday.
Put into bat in a reduced overs contest, the Wirral visitors posted 156-8 declared off 30.5, Russell’s super six-for the main feature, Harry Spillane taking 2-46.
Bay made it to 158-7 in 34.1, Luke Russell leading the charge with 62, fellow opener Matt Russell adding 24.

Not such a good day on Saturday for Bay seconds at fellow title hopefuls Old Xaverians.
Bay were invited to bat and got bowled out for just 104, Harry Spillane 30 and Sam Bright 25.
Xavs eased to 105-1 in 31.1 overs for a 20-2 points success.
