CPD Pwllheli 6 Llanrug United 1

Jason Banks scored all six goals for a Pwllheli side which has moved up to third in the North Wales Coast West Premier Division.

It was a stunning feat for Banks, who netted four in the first half and another double in the second.

Jonathan Sadler replied for the visitors in the first period.

Gary-Jo Owen’s decider deep into injury time ensured Caergybi closed the gap on leaders Talysarn Celts to four points with two games in hand.

Two-time Bob Brodie Trophy winner Owen edged up to eight goals for the season with his latest strike – and the team’s most important of the campaign so far.

Playing on admirably at a difficult time for him and his family, Gary-Jo’s latest goal will have been the most popular in North Wales on Saturday.

Another goal machine, Louis Chapman, notched his 18th of the season from the penalty spot in the first half at Millbank. Chapman was later red-carded.

Meurig Parry equalised in the second half for high-flyers Waunfawr, but that late, late clincher from Owen won the day.

The original ‘Cefyn y Rwyd’ Mr Sion Parry

Player-manager Sion Parry was in vintage form as he scored four times in Llanystumdwy’s caning of Y Fali.

Parry boosted his season’s total in all competitions to 12 goals and 222 in total for the club with his Saturday quartet.

Gryff Sion and Darren Parry were also on the mark for the hosts.

Talysarn Celts 2 Cemaes Bay 2

Leaders Talysarn remain unbeaten after eight matches but were held to a 2-2 draw by Cemaes at Gloddfa Glai.

Jac Jones and Rhodri Jones were on target for the home side, but Sol Williams and a late Luke McKittrick leveller salvaged a point for the Anglesey visitors.
