Northop Hall celebrate a derby success in North Wales Women’s Cricket League

Northop Hall maintained their end-of-season winning surge in the North Wales Women’s Cricket League on Sunday (August 15).

Hall took on Northop, who batted first and made 91-3 off 16 overs (net score 276) with captain Jane Williams scoring 14, Lucy Bevan 11 and Lucy McManus 11 (net score 1).

Sara Williams took 2-10 and Hollie Sigsworth 1-17 for Hall.

In reply, Northop Hall struck 117-3 (net score 302) to complete a 26-run victory.

Katheryn Sigsworth top-scored with 24, Sarah Edwards made 11, Becky Hicks 13 (net score 8) and Hollie Sigsworth 12 (net score 7).

Bella Williams snapped up 2-18 and Lynsey Roberts 1-13 for Northop.

Bethesda’s victories over Dolgellau and Colwyn Bay ensured they were crowned champions with a 100% record (this story was covered on Grassroots North Wales on Sunday).
