Bethesda made it 12 straight wins in the North Wales Women’s Cricket League on Sunday – but they were given a brilliant battle by bottom side Northop Hall.
Bottom team Northop Hall put up a tremendous show against leaders Bethesda before losing by just 15 runs.
Put into bat, Pesda posted 154-6, Hannah Jones top-scoring with 31, Luned Roberts adding 18 and Ellie Creek 12.
Hall replied with an excellent 134-5, Becky Hicks shining brightest with 28, captain Hester Evans-Ford 22 and Kathryn Rhymer 11, Luned Roberts 2-18 for Bethesda.
Bethesda elected to field and limited Northop to 73-2 off their 16 overs, Jane Williams scoring 14.
In reply, Pesda smashed 140-1, Hannah Jones 25, Elin Pritchard 14, Luned Roberts 12 and Ellie Creek 10.
