Bethesda are the first-ever North Wales Women’s Cricket League champions!

Bethesda Women – 2021 North Wales Women’s Cricket League champions

Congratulations/Llongyfarchiadau Bethesda – crowned inaugural North Wales Women’s Cricket League champions today with a 100% record.

Pesda clinched the title by beating second-place Colwyn Bay by 28 runs.

Winning the toss and electing to field, Bethesda limited the Bay to 81-5 off their 16 overs (net score 256).

Hannah Kennedy top-scored for Colwyn with 15 (net 10).

For the champions, Megan Hughes took 1-5, Holly Heaton 1-10, Hannah Jones 1-14 and Elin Pritchard 1-16.

Bethesda replied with 99-3 (net 284) with Hannah Jones scoring 20, Emma Jones 13 (net 8), Cushla Luxton 11 and Megan Hughes 10.

That made it 14 wins from 14 matches for the Ogwen side, their latest victory secured by 28 runs.

Dolgellau were unable to attend so conceded their match with Bethesda.
