RUTHIN (1) 66-10 PONTBLYDDYN (14) 69-2

Mark Neath claimed 5-22 as Pontblyddyn moved 21 points clear at the Division One summit with an eight-wicket thrashing of Ruthin.

Neath’s best bowling figures of the season did most to ensure the hosts, put into bat, were blasted out for just 66 in 27 overs, James Hughes snapping up 2-11 and Rhys Jones 2-14.

Pont lost both openers cheaply in reply, but Michael Littler (32 not out) and Alistair Roberts (27 no) guided them to 69-2 off 22.3 and a 14-1 points split.

BANGOR 2ND XI (2) 102-10 HAWARDEN PARK (13) 104-5

Ian Martin picked up 3-22 off 10 overs as Hawarden maintained their winning streak at Ty Newydd.

Hosts Bangor won the toss and decided to bat, but could only muster 102 all out, Michael Wootton (2-13 off 9.4) also shining for the visitors.

Hawarden made it to 104-5 off 23.5 overs, Phil Bradfield 33 not out, Paul Lewis 3-39 for the hosts.

CONNAH’S QUAY (2) 111-10 ABERGELE (13) 181-8

Key knocks from Josh Lloyd (52) and David Holmes (42) helped Abergele set a winning score of 181-8 at the Quay, Lee Davies with an impressive 3-17 off 10 overs and Mali Auty 2-16 from nine for the hosts.

The Deesiders were then bowled out for 111, David Moulson 3-25 off 10 and Rana Das 2-10 from seven for the visitors.

DOLGELLAU (13) 155-5 BETHESDA (2) 154-9

Sam Williams took five wickets and scored 39 vital runs for Dolgellau in their home triumph over Bethesda.

Williams claimed 5-21 as Pesda were limited to 154-9 at The Marian after being invited to bat, Carwyn L Williams notching up 32 and Nicholas Parry 31.

Dolgellau hit back with 155-5 off 39.5, Phil Leeds’ 45 not out topping Williams’ fine effort.

GWERSYLLT PARK (3) 64-5 (revised target 93 from 24 overs) MOLD (12) 140-10

League top run-scorer Ewan Hill led the charge with 47 in Mold’s modest 140 all out at Gwersyllt.

Ethan McCarthy took 5-21 and Jake James 3-39 for the hosts. who will have fancied their victory chances at this stage.

Due to rain, the Park were challenged to make 93 from 24 overs, but they could only muster 64-5, Thomas North 2-25 and John Crane 2-27 for victorious Mold.

LLANRWST (3) 132-8 HALKYN (12) 136-7

In a tight, low-scoring encounter at Gwydir Park, visitors Halkyn edged the spoils.

Inserted by the opposition, Llanrwst set 132-8 off their 45 overs, skipper Aron Hughes best with 47, Muhummad Bajwa 3-22, Ben Roberts 2-17 and Jamie Griffiths 2-25 for the Flintshire outfit.

Halkyn reached 136-7 with 13 balls to spare, Ben Roberts (37) and Jamie Griffiths (28) the top contributors, Huw Williams 3-28 and Trefor Williams 2-29 for the home team.
