Meliden FC face a big test this evening

Meliden continue what has been a testing pre-season period with a home clash against tier 3 side Llandudno Albion tonight (Wednesday, June 30, kick-off 6.45 pm at The Mine).

Albion reached the FAW Trophy Final in 2019-20, only to be denied the chance to take on Penydarren in the showpiece game due to coronavirus.

Tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division outfit Meliden have a record of two wins, a draw and two defeats thus far in the build-up to the 2020-21 campaign.

Their most recent outing brought a rewarding 9-3 victory over Llandudno Amateurs last Saturday.

The Prestatyn area team have had to endure the frustration of several friendlies being cancelled through no fault of their own.

Meliden pre-season results

June 26: Llandudno Amateurs (h) 9-3 (Lucas Edwards 2, Ashley Lally 2, Dan Beattie 2, Finley Ellam, Sam Haddon, Chris Wright pen)
June 19: Brickfield Rangers (a) 0-4
June 11: Abergele (h) 4-2 (Dan Beattie, Sam Haddon, James Cairns, Ashley Lally)
May 22: Greenfield (a) 1-3 (Liam Smith)
May 15: Rhuddlan Town (h) 2-2 (Finley Ellam, Sam Haddon)
