An all-Northop area derby could be in store in the second round of the Welsh Cricket Cup.
The delayed start to the season coupled with a few washed out weekends have meant the national cup has a number of outstanding first round matches which means there are 44 clubs going into the second round draw.
After the awful weather at the start of May it’s a great credit to the ground staff across Wales who have put in so much hard work to get as many matches on as possible.
Following the completion of round two, there will be one more zonal stage before the tournament becomes open draw for the quarter-finals.
North Zone 1
Northop Hall/Brymbo v Northop
Pontblyddyn v Llanidloes/Llay Welfare
North Zone 2
Llandudno/St Asaph v Mochdre/Colwyn Bay
Denbigh v Menai Bridge
