Mike Davies is the new player-manager of Trearddur Bay Bulls after Derek Thomas stepped down due to work commitments.
Mike had a chat with Grassroots North Wales about his appointment.
Really looking forward to the challenge ahead. Knowing the commitment of the committee has helped a great deal.
Definitely the lads are raring to go.
The squad has changed dramatically in the last week, giving us a real headache in picking starting 11’s for the coming season, which in itself puts us in a good position.
At the moment we are in a good position with the squad we have but any additions would only keep the guys on their toes.
So far so good, only a week and one friendly under the belt, so early days but the feeling is good.
The game v Llanfair was about seeing some players play with a few youth coming through as well. Had a job to rotate 21 players but took a lot of positives from the game.
I’ve kept myself fit over lockdown but think I’ve been here many times before. Hahaha I’ll say one last season.
Definitely. Having played under their management in the past I know how knowledgeable they are of the game. I will definitely learn a lot from them. Looking forward to working with them.
Without a shadow of doubt the 2008/09 NWCFA Junior Cup Final against St Asaph which we won. The spirit of the lads was second to none. We were all brilliant mates on and off the field and still are now.
Well the way this squad is shaping up I think there will be a few upsets, but it is a very strong league with some really good teams so we will have to see.
