Aidan Clark continued his fantastic return to football with a double in tonight’s win for Borough over Nantlle Vale.
A hat-trick hero in Saturday’s 6-0 drubbing of Llannefydd, former Bodedern Athletic front man Clark added another pair to his collection at Y Morfa.
With Meilir Williams and Corrig McGonigle also available in the striking department, Boro could be quite a force when the season proper starts.
This evening’s clash saw Conwy take the lead three minutes before half time through Williams.
Clark then struck on 64 and 76 minutes against the tier 3 visitors.
This was Conwy’s third friendly of the pre-season, the six-goal beating of Llannefydd preceded by a 4-2 home loss to Holyhead Hotspur.
A goals feast for Llanuwchllyn featured three players scoring two apiece.
Joe Evans, Owain ap Gareth and Joe Williams all bagged pairs for the winning side, Rob John also on target.
Llanuwchllyn have another good test lined up on Saturday when they take on Bangor 1876 at Maes Tegid.
Two goals apiece from Giacomo Mello and Dante Isla secured City their second pre-season win over fellow Cymru North side Llangefni.
Mello broke the deadlock on 34 minutes with a 25-yard special.
Isla was presented with an open goal to make it 2-0 after 62 minutes, then Brazilian Mello added a third on 73 with a long range free kick.
The scoring was complete when Isla combined with Juan Garcia for number four.
Llangefni had their moments, but found the City defence and keeper Marino Barufaldi forced into a couple of fine stops.
City’s other pre-season results: Pwllheli (9-1), Nantlle Vale (5-1), Llangefni Town (2-1).
