Robbie Parry returns to Bangor City – first of several North Wales signings

Robbie Parry during his last stint at Bangor City

Bangor City’s new manager Hugo Colace has begun his quest to bring more North Wales players to Nantporth with the signing of winger Robbie Parry.

The 25-year-old Parry returns to City, who he first joined in 2018 after two seasons with The New Saints.

He also had two loan spells at Llandudno during his time at TNS and has played in the region of 50 Welsh Premier games.

Parry also had a stint on loan at Connah’s Quay Nomads in 2015-16.

The Welshman began his career with stays at Liverpool and Wolves before moving onto Stoke City, where he starred in the U21 side at the Britannia Stadium. He has represented his country up to under-19 level.

Argentinian Colace, a former Barnsley midfielder, was a player for Bangor last season and last week was appointed manager, replacing Pedro Pasculli, who becomes the club’s technical secretary.

In 2019-20, there were hardly any North Walians in the Bangor squad which finished fifth in the Cymru North, the ranks comprising mainly overseas players.

Colace is aiming to change this and has other North Wales signings lined up.
