Flint Town United returned back up to second spot in the Cymru North with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant at the Essity Stadium.

Mark Cadwallader’s goal was all that separated the sides at half time, and it took until five minutes from the end before the Silkmen could feel safe after Jacques Welsh found the net.

Matty Williams did notch a 90th minute reply for the Powys travellers, but Flint had done enough to regain second, 16 points behind leaders Prestatyn with two games in hand.

Buckley Town edged a 1-0 home success against Penrhyncoch, Chris Hibbert with the 77th minute decider.

Emmanuel Agyemang’s 28th minute goal was enough to secure fifth-place Bangor City a 1-0 verdict versus Ruthin Town.

It was a really bad day for struggling Porthmadog as they crashed 3-1 at home to rock-bottom Llanfair United.

Shaun Cavanagh’s 80th minute strike was a mere consolation for the hosts as by then the visitors led 3-0 courtesy of goals from Carl Seliaerts in the first half, then Alun Hughes and Josh Astley on 76 and 79 respectively.

Rhyl led Gresford Athletic 1-0 at half time through Aaron Hassall’s 28th minute goal, but after the break Joe Chaplin and Nathan Williams struck to seal a 2-1 triumph for the delighted Colliers.

Fourth-place Guilsfield were 2-1 winners at Conwy Borough, Chris Cathrall and Jake Cook delivering the points for the Powys outfit, Sean McCaffery having brought the Morfa men level in first half injury time.
