Llandudno Amateurs Reserves 2 (Ben Williams 9, Matty Roberts 83)

The last eight in the NWCFA Junior Cup is complete after Trearddur Bay Bulls progressed at the expense of Llandudno Amateurs Reserves today.

Gwynedd League high-flyers Bulls now face a tough trip to Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division outfit Llansannan in the quarter-finals.

After two postponements in Llandudno, this afternoon’s third round battle was switched to Anglesey.

Bulls enjoyed the perfect start when Iolo Jones put them ahead after five minutes, but it was not long before Ben Williams surprisingly levelled for the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Division One underdogs.

Justin Williams made it 2-1 Trearddur in the 13th minute and that was the end of the first half goals.

Bulls put the tie to bed with three goals in eight minutes just before and after the hour mark.

Gwion Owen notched a third home goal in the 58th minute then Justin Williams struck twice to reach his hat-trick and hit 24 goals for the campaign.

Midfield ace Dave Webb made it 6-1 before a late Matty Roberts net-finder provided some consolation for Amateurs.

All four quarter-finals are due to take place next Saturday.
