A major bonus of Nomads and Bala meeting in the semis of the Nathaniel MG Cup this weekend is the assurance one of these outstanding North Wales sides will feature in the final.
Cymru Premier table-toppers Nomads and third-place Town clash on Saturday afternoon at Deeside Stadium with the winner of the other last-four tussle between STM Sports and Aberystwyth Town awaiting in the showpiece.
The Nomads have reached the semi-final of this competition for the past four seasons, but failed to make the final on any of those occasions. So the aim is to get that monkey off their back and reach their first league cup final since 1996.
Both sides come into the game in fine form with Quay unbeaten so far in domestic football, while Bala have lost just one in their last nine fixtures in all competitions.
Town will be without the suspended Nathan Burke, but have a full strength side to choose from otherwise.

There was a time when this THE must-see game in North Wales football.
During their long years in the Cymru Premier, which delivered five league titles between them, Rhyl v Bangor was always the match not to miss.

Rhyl are in their third straight campaign in level-two Cymru North, and currently sit third in the table, while Bangor, who dropped into the second-tier last term after 26 straight seasons in the top flight, are presently 10th in the CN.

But whatever their respective fortunes, the fixture Rhyl v Bangor City has an amazing history and will always mean something to someone.
Fifth-place Kinmel Bay, who possess an unbeaten home record, take on a Gwalchmai side lying second who have yet to lose away.
Bay have division top scorer Matty Griffiths in their ranks, while Gwalch bring to the table two proven goal-getters in Marc Evans and Corey Sinnott.
Could be a belter at Y Morfa.
A replay of the start-of-season President’s Cup final which the Park won 1-0.
Albion are top of the Premier on the back of six straight league wins, while the Park occupy fourth spot.
Should be a corking contest.

Leaders Brymbo Victoria are undefeated in 11 matches and enjoy a nine-point lead at the summit, while league newcomers Chirk Town have won five and drawn two of their seven outings so far.
Chirk are 10 points behind Vics but have four games in hand, so much rests on Saturday’s battle. Vics have amassed a remarkable 66 goals in their 11 games.
Today’s opponents drew 2-2 at Brymbo in late September.
Rangers are eight points behind leaders Cemaes Bay, but have three games in hand.
So Alex Philp’s men will be anxious to rediscover winning ways against mid-table Pentraeth Reserves today.
However, the Rhosgadfan outfit lost 3-2 to Pen in the Benllech Car Boot Trophy seven days ago, so revenge will be on the minds of the black and whites.
