Women’s football: Holywell score seven in Recreational League

Happy Holywell: All is well for the Wellwomen after a seven-goal victory

Leah Davies Williams led the way for the Wellwomen with a hat-trick, Caitlin Hadaway added a double and there was one goal apiece from Sarah Massey and Talia Jones.

It was a good, strong all-round performance from the Flintshire side, who are improving with every game and growing in confidence.

Winning manager Tony Doyle said: “The ladies have progressed immensely since the beginning of the season, getting stronger with every game and confidence is growing within for all the players, which they needed after a tough start in the North Wales Women’s League.

“Pentre are a new team and have some excellent players, they were a pleasure to host.”
