Playing for Kinmel Bay
Steven Gerrard
Striker – but have played my part as a goalkeeper for Rhyl
Rhyl v Cardiff Met – we drew 2-2 and I was in goal
Rhyl v Llandudno. Tom came up to me on the bench with 10 minutes to go and told me to get the goal I deserved, and I scored the equaliser for Rhyl to get the point we needed to secure our place in the Welsh Premier. It was the best feeling in the world. Also getting two trophies at the end of last season to complete my journey with Rhyl
Kinmel Bay Girls, Rhyl Ladies and NFA ladies
Holding the ball up and my height for flicking balls on
My head dropping after making a mistake or missing a chance. I always dwell on it and it shows in my game
This is a tricky one. From my seasons at Rhyl I made a family and friends for life and it was a tough decision to leave. We literally won together and lost together. Rach Nattrass was always brilliant with me, she always messaged me after a game and told me how well I played etc. We still message now before and after every game to say good luck etc. This season I wanted to have fun with my mates and I’m buzzing I get to play with Boo (Becca Bannister). She’s one of my best mates and is a quality football player; some of the balls she puts through to me are outstanding.
TBH most of the games in the Welsh Prem were difficult, but Swansea and Cardiff met were always the toughest.
I’m going to have to say family and friends. I suffer with a health condition which sometimes has stopped me going to games and to training but they push me and make me not give up and continue to do the thing that I love doing and I can only thank them for that
Not going to lie would have to say myself haha
Now this is definitely not me – no rhythm whatsoever ever 😂 Becca Bannister and her Dora the Explorer routine always gets me
Isle of Man ground was amazing and still feel very lucky to have played on Bellevue
Erm… I’ve done the serious side at Rhyl now it’s time to enjoy playing football with some of my best mates have a laugh and throw a couple of dodgy skills and goals in the mix
