Corwen led 3-1 early in the second half through Ryan Billington and Dale Davies (2), Adam Jenkins replying and going on to add another pair to complete his hat-trick.

And Guils could have won it had visiting keeper Dylan Jones not saved an Adam Davies penalty.

Both teams had a player red carded in the latter stages.

FAW Amateur Trophy round two

Holders Cefn Albion are out of the Trophy.

Tonight saw the Welsh National League Premier Division side beaten 2-1 at The Rock by Division One underdogs Lex.

A goal from Jordan Jones was not enough to keep Albion in the competition.

Zack Davies and Alun Parry were Lex’s goal-getting heroes on a special night for the club.
