Wednesday football: Llandudno Albion end Hotspur’s 100% record, Phoenix hit seven, Cefni and Bay draw

Llandudno Albion ended Holyhead Hotspur’s 100% record

Welsh Alliance League

Llandudno Albion inflicted a first defeat of the season on Holyhead Hotspur in a Division One encounter which finished 3-0 to the Maesdu Park side.

Luke Smith handed the hosts an early lead before second half strikes from Adam Hold and Ricky Jones sealed the points.

Callum Parry’s double secured Llanrwst United a 2-0 success against visitors Blaenau Amateurs, while Paul Fleming and Mikey Hargrave grabbed a goal each for St Asaph City in a 2-1 triumph at Prestatyn Sports, Tom McDougall replying.

Nantlle Vale and Llanrug United shared a 2-2 draw, Ashley Owen and Aaron Thomas for the hosts, Gavin Lloyd Jones and Llion Jones responding.

Holyhead Town hammered Llandudno Junction 5-1 at Millbank.

Asa Thomas grabbed a hat-trick and Gary Jo Owen a double, to make it 18 goals between the pair in just six games. Thomas is on 10 and Owen 8.

Alfie Caldecott (3), Aaron Keating (2), Ethan Jones and Mike Lundstram guided Penmaenmawr Phoenix to a 7-1 caning of Kinmel Bay, Matthew Griffiths converting a consolation penalty for the visitors.

Mark Jones and Corey Sinnott (2) earned Gwalchmai a 3-2 success at Mochdre Sports, Tom Roberts and Charlie Lloyd for the home side.

Andy Thomas netted all four goals as Denbigh Town triumphed 4-1 at Kinmel Bay in the Reserves Division.

Cymru North

Llangefni Town and Colwyn Bay played out a 1-1 draw at Talwrn Road.

Julian Williams edged the Bay ahead in the 62nd minute, but Craig Roberts levelled on 71.

Penrhyncoch won 1-0 at Llanfair United, Jonathan Foligno heading in the decider in the 21st minute at Mount Field.

Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League

Jordan Taylor, Nathan Griffiths and Paul Jones all bagged doubles, while Matthew Robinson and Josh Evans added singles as NFA made it three straight wins in Division One with an 8-2 home pasting of Denbigh Development.

The first half ended 2-2, Harry Jones and Alfie Harrison for the visitors, but after the break NFA took total command.

Llandudno Amateurs Reserves led 3-0 against Penrhyn Bay Dragons but the game ended 3-3.

Steve Collins (2) and Joel Massam were the Amateurs hitmen, Jamie Seager, Tom Parry and Matty Katsouris for the roaring Dragons.

North East Wales League

Tom Freeman and Matty Cooke were on target as Chirk Town defeated Mold Town United at Weston Rhyn Rec.

Anglesey League

Sam Williams delivered a double as Mountain Rangers recorded a 2-0 win at Arriva Bangor in the only Anglesey League match of the night.
