Pakistani all-rounder Ahmad Safi Abdullah wrecked Northop Hall’s hopes of victory with a decisive half-century and five-wicket haul at Smithy Lane.
Abdullah, who has played first-class cricket for Faisalabad in his homeland, made 52 and Khalid Mahbi struck 56 as Birkenhead Park set 194-6 declared off 47.3 overs after being put into bat.
For the hosts, Enamul Haque Jr claimed 3-81 and James Hurlin 2-56.
Haque Jr top-scored with 29 as Hall were then bowled out for just 113, Abdullah scooping 5-50 from 20 overs as his team celebrated a 24-4 points triumph.
