Anglesey League: Eight-goal victories for Rangers and Arriva

Newcomers Mountain Rangers marked their return to competitive football in a blaze of glory as they rattled up an 8-0 victory at Holyhead Town Reserves.

Sam Williams notched a treble for Alex Philp’s side, Ian Pleming two, with Rhys Jones, Terry Watkinson and David Aaron Jones also also finding the net.

Arriva Bangor walloped Llandegfan by the same score.

Scott Hughes bagged a hat-trick, Andy Clarke and Dion Williams nabbed a brace each and there was a single for Danny Camilleri.

Pentraeth Reserves versus Bodorgan Juniors ended 3-3. Kenny Williams, Dyfed Alston and Dylan Jones were the home hitmen, Luke Allaway and Aaron Jones (2) for the visitors.

Llanfairpwll and Holyhead Hotspur Reserves shared a 1-1 split, Jack Davies for the home side and Chris Corrie on target for the Holy Islanders.

On Friday night, Cemaes Bay edged a 4-3 thriller against CPD Y Fali at School Lane.

Steven Whittaker and Andy Williams both scored twice for the hosts, Casey Boylan with all three for Fali, including two penalties.
