Big signing for Bangor City 1876 Women – one of the best young strikers in North Wales.
Megan Williams has left Caernarfon Town to join the Citizens.
The 17-year-old had scored 19 goals in 13 appearances for Caernarfon over the past two seasons in the North Wales Coast Women’s League.
She now moves up to the Adran North, where her finishing skills will be welcomed by a Bangor side on the up under the temporary management of Chris O’Neal.
“Megan has already shown she is a great goalscorer at senior level and we believe she can carry that on at Bangor,” said O’Neal.
“We’re building an impressive squad now and hopefully we can build on Sunday’s win over Berriew and put a run together.”
Megan previously represented Caernarfon Town from under-14 up to U17 levels and has also played for CPDM Bangor U15s in the past. Overall she netted almost 100 goals in five seasons in junior football.
She bagged 37 for Caernarfon U17s, nine for the U16s, 15 for U15s and 24 for the U14s – that’s 85 in all for the Cofis junior section. Added to this were 14 goals for Bangor U15s.
