The draws for the third round (last 32) of the FAW Welsh Cup and round one of the Bute Energy Women’s Welsh Cup takes place this Monday night (October 19) live on S4C programme Heno which starts at 7 pm.
In the north, there will be much interest in who Tier 4 surprise packages Coedpoeth United and Mochdre Sports draw at this stage.
These are the rest of Saturday’s round two reports
Memories of a famous Cymru Alliance League victory for Holyhead Hotspur at Bala back in 2008-09 were evoked as the Holy Islanders emerged triumphant again at Maes Tegid.
Darren Garmey’s side led 4-1 in Saturday’s Welsh Cup encounter until the Lakesiders produced a late fightback which was not quite enough to save their skins.
Tom Kelly gave Steve Fisher’s home team an eighth-minute lead, but a Jamie Jones equaliser made it 1-1 at the break.
Hotspur took command in the second half, Connor Owen scoring twice and young Codie Holland also finding the net to put the slight underdogs nearly out of sight.
Nathan Burke and John Owen hit back for Town on 74 and 90+3 respectively, but Holyhead held on for a memorable win.
Revenge for Aberystwyth as they beat Prestatyn by the exact same score their visitors had whipped them by in a Welsh Cup tie at Park Avenue back in 2016-17.
This time the Cymru South hosts were in charge, Aaron Williams and sub Daniel Owen scoring two apiece, with Tomos Evans also on the mark.
Tom Hilditch replied for Prestatyn when his team were two-down. It was the Ardal North West team’s first defeat in 26 matches.
Cymru North leaders Brickfield advanced to round three with goals from Dennis Bates in the first half and sub Lewis Wynne in the 86th minute.
This all-Tier 3 contest saw Felinheli make the last 32 for the first time.
Alwyn Roberts, Joni Sadler and Ianto Ap Rhun provided the away goals, Kien Morris netting both for Albion, who had Kos Jones red-carded on 81 minutes, while Dion Gibbins and assistant manager Iain Bennett received the same punishment after the final whistle.
Tier 3 Llannefydd produced a great effort against two leagues higher ranked Llandudno, but it was the Cymru Premier side who progressed through a 65th minute goal from Mark Cadwallader.
Jamie Hyne (3), Sean Griffiths, Gareth Evans, Hanoch Boakye and Oliver Sharp shared the goals in a ruthless Newtown display.
Fellow Tier 2 outfit Llanuwchllyn had forward Dale Davies sent off for a second yellow card on 58 minutes.
Gerwyn Williams (2), Aaron Young and a Ben Buley own goal put Dolgellau safely into the third round against a Penycae side they had thrashed 5-1 a week earlier in the Ardal North East League.
Isaac Dawson gave Cae a fourth-minute lead, but that was as good as it got for the Wrexham side.
