FAW AMATEUR TROPHY ROUND TWO ROUND-UP – OCTOBER 3

FC Queens Park 2 Cefn Albion 2 (Queens Park won 4-3 on penalties)

After an uncharacteristic three losses in their previous four games Queens Park returned to winning ways in an epic Trophy clash with fellow Ardal North East side Cefn Albion.
Dion Gibbins edged Albion ahead on 15 minutes, but Dan Parry levelled after 36 and the prolific Nicky Williams made it 2-1 to the hosts in the 76th.
However, the Cefners had not given up, Callum Mannion equalising with a 95th minute spot kick to force pens.
And the Park came out on top 4-3.

Kinmel Bay 3 Llanfyllin Town 0

Following back-to-back cup exits, Kinmel Bay made it third time lucky by knocking Tier 4 Llanfyllin out of the Trophy.
Paris Gray scored on 18 and 41 minutes, with Mason Richards also on target in between to give the Ardal North West side a three-goal half time lead.
No goals in the second half, but the job was done.

Llanfair United 1 CPD Cerrigydrudion 6

What a result for Tier 4 Cerrig at Llanfair United of Ardal North East.
Tirion Griffiths had a penalty saved for the visitors before converting the rebound in the fourth minute.
Karl Seliaerts equalised, but Jac Edwards restored the Cerrig lead on the stroke of the interval.
It was all the away side in the second half, Tomos Jones, Elis Jones, Tegid Williams and sub Ifan Jones all making the scoresheet.

CPD Boded 1 CPD Pwllheli 4

Gethin Thomas (2), Cian Pritchard and sub Sion Roberts shared the goals which advanced Pwllheli to the last 32, Chris Jones with Boded’s sole response.

Cemaes Bay 1 Kerry 7

Ryan Folksman notched a consolation goal for a Cemaes side heavily beaten by their Tier 3 visitors, ex-Cymru Premier striker Jamie Breese nabbing four for the Lambs, Barry Bellis contributing a double and sub Riley Bellamore converted a penalty.

Dolgellau Athletic 8 Radnor Valley 0

Ioan Roberts pocketed a hat-trick for ruthless Dolgellau, Rob John Kimberley adding a pair, Dion James, Osian Morris and Rob Evans one each.

Knighton Town 5 Menai Bridge Tigers 0

No joy for Menai Bridge Tigers at third-tier high-flyers Knighton, Callum Stead, Finley Williams, Will Evans, Jack Hoyle and sub Louis Scott with a goal apiece for the Robins.
Callum Thomas saw red for the Tier 4 visitors on 56 minutes.

Llanrhaeadr 1 Saltney Town 1 (Llanrhaeadr won 5-3 on pens)

Unlucky Saltney of North East Wales Division 1 went out on penalties at mid-table Ardal North East outfit Llanrhaeadr.
Max Evans handed the hosts a 16th minute lead before Daniel Clewley made it 1-1 after 25.
No more goals so it was down to pens and Llanrhaeadr prevailed 5-3.
