Holywell Town has announced an experienced new addition to their management team.
Sean Eardley has joined the coaching staff at the Flintshire-based Novira Cymru Premier club.
Eardley, a former Caernarfon Town and Llandudno manager, recently left Bangor City 1876 after a short stint as interim boss following the departure of Michael Johnston.
In a four-season stay, Johnston and assistant Eardley earned a promotion to the Cymru North and last term guided the Citizens to the treble of Tier 3 Ardal North West title, FAW Trophy and Ardal Northern Cup.
After a successful time at Llandudno as number two to Alan Morgan, leading the Seasiders to the 2014-15 Huws Gray Alliance title and into the Welsh Premier for the first time in the club’s history, November 2017 saw Eardley become first team boss at Caernarfon after Iwan Williams took up the manager’s role at Tudno.
At the time Eardley took the helm at The Oval, the Canaries were top of the Huws Gray Alliance and they stayed there, not losing a single league game for the rest of the season.
That meant a return to the Cymru Premier for the Canaries for the first time in 10 years. In his two seasons as chief, Eardley worked wonders, leading Caernarfon to a pair of top six finishes.
In 2020 he rejoined Llandudno as manager before in 2023 switching to Bangor City 1876, serving as number two to Johnston.
