DIVISION TWO

Corwen (2) 120-10 Carmel & District (13) 191-8

Title-chasing Carmel have an 11-point lead at the summit with four rounds of matches to play after Saturday’s win at the War Memorial Park.
Put into bat, the Flintshire villagers made 191-8 off 40 overs, Supun Eranga top-scoring with 64 and skipper Ben Sim adding 30, Will Roberts 2-16, Iwan Lloyd 2-21 and William Pooler 2-35 for the hosts.
Corwen could only manage 120 all out in reply, Lloyd 37, Oliver Saynor taking 4-26 and Amer Jamil 2-18 for the victors.

Dolgellau (1) 80-10 Gwersyllt Park II (14) 81-3

Opener David Jenkins carried his bat for a stoic 51 not out as Dolgellau were bowled out for 80, Ryan McCarthy 4-20, Ben Griffiths 2-1 and Tahsil Stanakzai 2-33 for Gwersyllt Park, who got home on 81-3, Gareth Fox 38 not out, Muhammad Imran 30 no, James Conde 2-19.

Llay Welfare (14) 118-3 Llanrwst (1) 115-8

A low-scoring encounter at The Ring was won by hosts Llay.
Aron Hughes shone brightest with 52 not out as Llanrwst were limited to a modest 115-8, Nathan Humphreys with remarkable figures of 3-2 (8-6-2-3), Mike Wright taking 2-12.
Llay made it to 118-3, Tom Parry 38 and Jonny Clayton 37.

Menai Bridge II (2) 218-4 Denbigh II (13) 219-4

Matt Bixby’s 111 not out was not enough to save Menai Bridge seconds from defeat at Tyn-y-Caeau.
Invited to take first knock. Bridge set a useful 218-4 off 40 overs, Bixby’s ton including 12 fours and a six, Llyr Midgley scoring 55, Akinda Abeysinghe collecting 3-7 for the visitors.
Denbigh reached 219-4 off 35.5, opener Gerallt Lyall 65, Abeysinghe 55 not out, the latter putting on an unbroken 53 for the fifth wicket with skipper Dan Nixon.

Pwllheli (11) 173-8 Marchwiel & Wrexham (4) 172-6

Craig Edwards made 52

Second-place Pwllheli battled their way to a two-wicket win at Parc Bodegroes.
Visitors Marchwiel and Wrexham made 172-6, having been 80 for six down before Muhammad Ghufran (53 no) and Nick Husbands (21) put on an undefeated 82 for the seventh wicket.
Iwan Moore stood out with the ball for Pwll, taking 3-23, Kalim Al Baloshi 2-28.
The Llŷn Peninsula side made it to 173-8, Craig Edwards 52, Adam Williams 44 and Logan Morgan 38, the latter pair forming a stand of 66 for the first wicket.
Sam Shoemark claimed 3-31 and George Forgrave 2-46 for the visiting side.

St Asaph II (1) 130-10 Brymbo II (14) 132-3

A seven-wicket success fot the Steelmen at Elwy Park Grove.
Saints seconds won the toss and batted, only managing a vulnerable looking 130 all out, Zac Hewitt (33) and Ankush Upadhyaya (28) having put on 65 for the first wicket.
Jake Hughes picked up 3-2, Sion Edwards 3-16 and Jamie Beale 2-16 for the Wrexham-area visitors.
Brymbo seconds cruised to 132-3, Jason Taylor 34 not out, Hughes 32 and Beale 30, Ankush Upadhyaya 3-30 for the hosts.
