Rhyl 1879 say farewell to assistant-manager Green

Ronnie Green has stepped down from his role as assistant-manager at CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

Green worked alongside current Lilywhites boss Paul Moore since November 2024, and the pair led the club to the Ardal North West League title five months later.

The partnership continued in the Tier 2 Cymru North last season, 1879 finished fifth on their first attempt and reached the Welsh Cup semi-finals.

A club statement said today: “Ronnie has made a valued contribution to the club and has played an important part in the work of the first team. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks for his commitment, professionalism and hard work during his time with us.

“Following discussions regarding the future direction and structure of the coaching team, the club and Ronnie will now go their separate ways.

“Everyone at CPD Y Rhyl 1879 wishes Ronnie all the very best for the future, and he will always be welcome at the club.”
