The 2026/27 FAW Amateur Trophy First Qualifying Round draw will be streamed at 7pm on Monday 13 July on Cymru Football TV.

251 clubs have entered this season’s FAW Amateur Trophy. 246 clubs enter in the First Qualifying Round, with byes to Round One granted to last season’s two beaten semi-finalists – Penmaenmawr Phoenix and Porthcawl Town Athletic – and the the three highest-ranked teams based on league performance last season – Cwmbran Celtic, Cwmbran Town and Knighton Town.

To watch the draw, supporters will need to create an account for free on Cymru Football TV.

In the First Qualifying Round, clubs will be split into a Northern section (98 clubs) and a Southern section (148 clubs).

The Northern section has been split at random into a pot of 50 clubs and 48 clubs. These two pots will be drawn separately. Meanwhile, the Southern section has been split at random into two equal pots of 74 teams.

The pots will be drawn simultaneously and each number drawn will represent the respective club in both Pot 1 and Pot 2 – e.g. Ball 1 will represent both Abergavenny Town (Pot 1) and Abercarn United (Pot 2).

First Qualifying Round fixtures will be played across the weekend of 31 July – 2 August.
