Dates for the opening round draws in this season’s Welsh Cup and FAW Amateur Trophy competitions have been set.

The Welsh Cup draw will take place on Friday, July 10, at 7 pm, and the Amateur Trophy pairings will be discovered on Monday, July 13, also at 7 pm.

Both draws will be transmitted live on the FAW’s new channel Cymru Football TV.

Although the new station will charge subscription fees (more details on the FAW website) the cup draws will be free to air on the Cymru Football TV platform with no paywall in operation.

Caernarfon Town lifted the 2025-26 Welsh Cup for the first time in their proud history last season, beating Flint Town United 3-0 in the final at Rodney Parade, Newport.

CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 are the FAW Amateur Trophy holders, but as that competition only caters for Tier 3 level and below, the Citizens will not be eligible to enter in 2026-27 as they have been promoted to the Tier 2 Cymru North.

More details on the cup draws will emerge on the FAW website over the coming days.
