Key dates released for the 2026-27 JD Cymru Leagues season

Key dates have been released for the 2026-27 JD Cymru Leagues seasons.

The forthcoming campaign will see a new format in the JD Cymru Premier with a 16-team membership replacing the 12-club set up which has existed since 2010-11.

JD Cymru Premier

Opening weekend: 31 July – 2 August 2026
Winter break: 8-21 January 2027
Final round of Phase One fixtures: 26 March 2027
Beginning of Phase Two: 2 April 2027
Final round of Phase Two fixtures: 23 April 2027
European Play-Off Quarter-Final(s): 27 April 2027
European Play-Off Semi-Final(s): 30 April 2027
European Play-Off Final: 7-8 May 2027
Promotion/Relegation Play-Off Final: 7-9 May 2027

JD Cymru North & JD Cymru South

Opening weekend: 31 July – 2 August 2026
Final round of fixtures: 16-17 April 2027
Promotion Play-Off Leg 1: 23-25 April 2027
Promotion Play-Off Leg 2: 30 April – 2 May 2027
Promotion/Relegation Play-Off Final: 7-9 May 2027

  • Fixture release days for the JD Cymru Leagues will be confirmed in due course. The transfer window will open on 15 June 2026 and close on 1 September 2026.
