What a few days for Pwllheli Development!
After becoming the first team to beat West Division champions Holyhead Hotspur Development this season on Sunday, the Llŷn Peninsula side have followed up with victories over Llanberis and Trearddur Bay to make it six wins in a row and clinch runners-up spot.
Iwan Roberts-Jones was the hero on Thursday, notching a first half hat-trick to sink Trearddur.
Although Michael Jones and Leo Morris hit back for Bay in the second half, Pwll took the points.
Llyr Williams and Kevin Hughes delivered the goals which sealed maximum points for Bont, Leon Owen responding for the Darans.
Anthony Williams led the way with a treble for Gaerwen, Jay Jones and Jamie Patterson also on target for the Auctioneers, the ever-consistent Josh Evans netting twice for Llanrug.
Jac Iwan Lewis was a four-goal star for Nantlle Vale, Osian Hughes-Jones adding a single for the visitors, Sion Banham, Cain Edwards (pen) and sub Jac Lewis hitting back for the hosts.
Llyr Samiel Williams (2) and Iwan Pennant Williams banked the points for Nefyn.
Ryan Griffiths (2), Cai Tibble and sub Guto Roberts delivered the goals which sealed success for Pwllheli at Ffordd Padarn on Tuesday, Charlie Jackson and Jonathan Cyster the Darans marksmen.
Cracking win for Pentraeth, Celt Rowlands, Caleb Evans, Ifan Cai and Hogr Tofiqy grabbing a goal each for the Sandmen, captain Ellis Picot and Gwern Williams keeping Nefyn in the contest but to no avail.
Christian Akoha (3) and Oliver Gray clinched the victory which ensured Kinmel Bay were crowned East champions.
This happy event was covered in depth by Grassroots North Wales earlier this week.
Scott Roberts, Gareth Jones and Soloman Moore made the scoresheet in a home win for Sports.
Another fine day for Glan goal machine Cyril Carey as he notched a hat-trick, including a penalty, in an emphatic win at Cae Ffwt.
Franky Gughrill added a double, Jacob Mylchreest (pen) and Ryan Boyle making up the seven for Glan, who celebrated their fifth win in a row.
Macauley Lewis and Rhys Cooke (pen) were Saints’ scorers.
While the league title was long in the bag, Hotspur lost their season-long undefeated record in the champions’ final game of the season.
It ended 3-0 to Pwllheli, Osian Williams missing a 24th minute penalty before Ethan Hunt made it 1-0 to the Llŷn side on 28.
Cai Tibble added a second Pwll after 71, then soon after Ryan Woodruff was shown a second yellow for the visitors.
Ifan Jones was red-carded for the hosts on 80, but sub Cian Goodman-Shepherd pocketed a third for the division runners-up after 82.
Jamie Patterson (2), Anthony Williams and Dion Griffiths split the goals for the winners, Toby Hockin and Owain Jones hitting back for the hosts.
Josh Evans (who else) hit a hat-trick for Llanrug, including a pen, with veteran Kevin Lloyd also on the mark.
Damien Smith had earlier given Bont a second-minute lead at Eithin Duon.
Both goals came in the first half, Alan Blankly putting Pentraeth ahead in the 33rd minute only for Shaun Morris to level close to the break.
