FC Queen’s Park make it a title treble after the reserves are crowned champions!

It’s a league title treble for Wrexham-based club FC Queen’s Park!

On Friday evening, the reserves clinched the NEWFA Reserve Division 2 championship with a 2-0 victory over Sychdyn United Reserves at The Dunks.

Jack Hanley scored after eight minutes and John Edwards added a second on 43.

The Park Reserves are still unbeaten in the league after 19 games and need only avoid defeat in their final fixture at Holywell United Reserves to be crowned invincibles.

Queen’s Park have now achieved the following in 2025-26

  • First team – North East Wales League Division 1 champions
  • Reserve team – North East Wales League Reserve Division 2 champions
  • Vets team – North East Wales Veterans League Division 1 champions
  • The Vets have also won the NEWFA Veterans Cup to make it four trophies for the club so far.

However, they could soon add to their collection, as the club is contending for these prizes…

  • First team – Horace Wynne Cup Final v Greenfield (May 15); Premier Cup Final v Coedpoeth United (May 9)
  • Reserves – North East Wales Reserve League Cup Final v Llay Welfare Reserves (May 7)
  • Vets – North East Wales Vets League Cup Final v Hawarden Rangers Vets (May 3)

So, the club has won four trophies to date, but could end up with EIGHT!
