North Wales has won the most Welsh Cups (55) – is it the same with the FAW Amateur Trophy?

Chirk AAA are the North Wales club with the joint-highest number of FAW Amateur Trophy wins

North Wales rule where the FAW Amateur Trophy is concerned.

Since the competition was founded back in 1890-91, the North has won the trophy 53 times through 40 different clubs, the latest being CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876.

South Wales have landed the prize on 42 occasions via 25 clubs, Central or Mid Wales have appeared on the winners’ rostrum 18 times through 10 successful sides, while seven English entrants have raised the trophy 9 times between them.

There have been 121 finals since the competition began under the name of the Welsh Junior Cup 136 years ago.,
