ARDAL NORTH EAST: Master marksman Meilir hits hat-trick as Llanuwchllyn extend lead to 17 points

After a mini ‘drought’ of just two goals in his last five games, Llanuwchllyn’s Meilir Williams was back to his best on Saturday with a hat-trick in his team’s 5-1 victory at in-form Llangollen.
The hosts had won five matches on the bounce and were level at 1-1 with leaders Llanuwchllyn early in the second half, but Sion Tudor’s side then burst clear to record their 10th victory in succession in league and cup.
Williams’ 41st minute goal made it 1-0 to the visitors at the break, but Aaron Jones equalised on 50 to raise ambitions in the home camp of another glorious result.
However, Dafydd Griffith soon made it 2-1 to Llanuwchllyn before Williams bagged his brace midway through the half.
Gwydion Roberts increased the lead to 4-1 after 73 and soon after Williams completed his treble to boost his season’s tally to 41 goals.

Lex XI 3 Builth Wells 3

Lex heroically fought back from 3-0 down to snatch a draw thanks to a pair of late goals past the 90-minute mark.
Danny Ives gave Builth a 34th minute lead after which Lawmen manager Gary McConnell was sent from the bench for receiving a second yellow card. Also booked in the same incident were Lex dugout staff David Johnson and Chris Hewitt.
Things looked very grim for the hosts when a Harry Edwards double on 50 and 53 minutes put the visitors three-up.
Sub Giorgio Donkor pulled one back for Lex via a penalty on 77, but it looked like that might just prove a consolation until Reece Jones made it 3-2 after 90+2, then sub Jardel Tavares Dias Da Mota levelled with the clock showing 90+5.
Builth goalkeeper Kham Steventon was shown a second yellow after the final whistle, having already been cautioned in the 95th minute.

Taylor Watts (2) and Rhys Hughes shared the goals which ensured Bow Street leapfrogged beaten opponents Knighton into second place.

Dolgellau AA 1 Radnor Valley 0

Ioan Roberts produced the 43rd minute goal which earned Dolgellau the three points which lifted them into fourth spot.

Llandrindod Wells 0 Llanrhaeadr 0

No goals at The Broadway where hosts Llandrindod finished with 10 men after Robert Kear was dismissed on 82 minutes for two yellow cards.

CPD Rhos Aelwyd 1 Llanfair United 4

Captain Jack Jones (2), Owain James and Gethin Stephens shared the goals as Llanfair took the honours at Ponciau Park, Scott Reeves replying for Rhos.

Corwen 3 Cefn Albion 3

James Rainbird’s 93nd minute equaliser salvaged Corwen a point.
Dion Gibbins, Alex Williams and Edgar Lima struck for Albion, but James Davies and Lewis Wills responded for the hosts before that late leveller.
