NWC LLANDUDNO KIA WOMEN’S LEAGUE – MARCH 22, 2026

CPD Pwllheli 2 (Moore 29, 35)
Trearddur Bay 1 (Murley 33)

Sian Moore’s 16th and 17th goals of the season were enough to earn Pwllheli a hard-fought win over determined long-distance travellers Trearddur Bay.

Pwll stretched their unbeaten run in the league to six matches, this latest victory lifting them into third place.

With just one win in 12 league games this term, the visitors from Ynys Môn gave it a really good go at The Rec.

Pwllheli mostly dominated the first half, spending long spells on the attack with some great through balls and a few chances, but it took them almost half-an-hour to break the deadlock.

On 29 minutes, a Stacey Sansome pass was intercepted by a Bay defender, but Moore was quick to pounce on the loose ball and finish one-on-one versus keeper Katie Bolton.

In the 33rd minute, Trearddur levelled when Elin Murley found the net.

Two minutes later, it was 2-1. Hayley Rees-Jones threaded a lovely through ball into the path of Moore. whose shot was initially saved, but then unluckily fumbled over the goal-line. Moore is now third-highest scorer in the league on 14 goals.

Three goals in a six-minute first half spell and that was it.

Trearddur Bay put up a great fight in the second half with their defence very solid.

Keeper Bolton was unfortunate to be sent off in the 78th minute when she handled an intended pass-back heading for the net. Just a goalkeeper’s instinct, but unluckily it reduced the visitors to 10 players for the last quarter-hour.

However, there were no further goals.
