Major final venue is changed – but it’s not the JD Welsh Cup

The FAW has changed the venue for a national cup final – but sadly it’s not the senior JD Welsh Cup Final.

Today, the Cardiff-based organisation revealed the 2026 FAW Youth Cup Final between Caernarfon Town and The New Saints will now take place at Go Goodwins Stadium in Llandudno on April 5.

The original venue announced was Central Park in Denbigh.

The FAW has not confirmed the reason for the switch.

The Youth Cup final will take place at Llandudno FC’s ground on Sunday 5 April, with kick-off at 14:30.

The New Saints got the better of Cardiff Met with an impressive 3-1 victory to book their spot in the showpiece, with Caernarfon following suit with a 3-1 win over Barry Town to secure back-to-back Youth Cup finals for the Cofis.

There will be no advance ticket sales for the final, with entry to the Go Goodwins Stadium on the day costing £2 for adults. Concessions go free.

The venue for the 2026 JD Welsh Cup Final between Caernarfon Town and Flint Town United on April 12 remains unchanged – Rodney Parade in Newport.
