Borough are off the mark!
At the 16th attempt, Division One’s bottom side recorded their first league win of the season.
Boro fought back from 2-0 and 3-1 down to edge a nine-goal thriller against a Deiniolen outfit which had beaten them twice previously this season.
Hero of the hour was hat-trick star Aled Steele, who in January returned to the club where he started his senior career.
The game began badly for the visiting Borough youngsters when Llanbabo captain Steven Price out rose the defence to flick home after just seven minutes.
That lead was doubled two minutes later when Deio Roberts headed in at the far post.
However, veteran striker Ian Pleming’s pinpoint pass then picked out Steele, who reduced the arrears on 13 minutes.
Deiniolen restored their two-goal lead in the 18th minute when striker Cian Pleming supplied Cameron Nesbit with the opportunity to score.
Despite this setback, former Caeathro, Mountain Rangers, Bontnewydd, Llanfairpwll, Llanrug, Waunfawr, Glantraeth and Gaerwen front man Steele then bagged two more goals to complete a first half hat trick.
The first he created from nothing, picking up the ball 30 yards out and weaving his way past the Deiniolen back line to prod home. The equaliser arrived after Daniel Jones was brought down out wide and the referee played on as Steele pounced in the box.

With only six minutes played of the second half, Steele then turned provider as he squared the ball for Jamie Brownley to finish.
In the 72nd minute Brownley added his second when reacting quickly to a Ian Pleming free kick to fire the ball home with the help of a slight deflection.
Just as Borough looked to have sealed the win, Deiniolen threw everything at the Cofis and several last-ditch tackles and wonderful saves from man of the match Jac Williams kept them at bay.
As the game drew to a close there was still more drama,
in the 92nd minute Llanbabo were awarded a penalty, but Price drove the ball wide. Price did make amends in the 96th minute when his 25-yard drive beat Williams to end an entertaining match which was a fantastic advert for grass roots football.
Seven-goal Aberffraw edged ever closer to the league title after stretching their lead to 14 points with a ruthless display of finishing at Treborth.
Andy Clarke (3, 1 pen), Keenan Latham, Steve Jones, Arwel Williams and Luke Gardiner split the goals for the island visitors.
Few chances for either side at Millbank, where a scrappy encounter finished 0-0.
Despite falling behind after just four minutes to a goal from captain Rhys Hughes, Boded recovered to record an impressive victory at Cae Stanley.
It remained 1-0 to Bont until the 67th minute when Tom Kelly equalised via a Rob Tiesteel assist.
Five minutes later, Ynys Môn’s netbusting legend Asa Thomas notched his first goal for Boded since signing in January. It was the 739th goal of the 34-year-old’s career, the assist coming from Chris Jones.
Dylan Griffith and Corey Hughes added further goals in the latter stages.
Llannerchymedd took a two-goal lead inside 17 minutes before the tables turned dramatically.
Indian Kabir Obi Oberoi bagged his first goal for Medd before Mathew Roberts soon added a second.
Shellshocked Blaenau recovered to be level at half time courtesy of Mabon Owen and Iwan Jones.
The second half saw the Quarrymen take command, Owain Jones-Owen, Gethin Roberts, Iwan Jones, plus subs Ceri Roberts and Aaron Jones adding a goal apiece.
Shaun Roberts’ double proved enough to secure three points for Llanrug.
Roberts struck after nine and 45+2 to make it 2-0 at the break. Reece Evans’ 85th minute response for Penrhyndeudraeth was not sufficient to save them from defeat.
Steffan Toplis (2) and Iwan Jones won the day for new leaders Nefyn, Gethin Jones replying for Talysarn with the first goal the Penwaig had conceded in around 750 minutes of league football.
