Amber double guides Llangefni Town towards 11th straight league win

Top-scorer Amber Brown netted her first goals of 2026 for a Llangefni side which returned to action after four blank weekends with a comfortable win over fellow Ynys Môn outfit Trearddur Bay.
Brown struck twice to move up to 19 for the season, 17 of them in the North Wales Coast League where she is second-highest markswoman.
Cefni made it 11 straight victories and sit second in the table, a point behind leaders Kinmel Bay with two games in hand.
The visitors broke the deadlock on 33 minutes when Brown chested down a goal-kick from home keeper Katie Bolton and jinked her way into the box, showing deft footwork before firing smartly into the bottom corner.
Marissa George doubled the Town total on 45 minutes when her tantalising corner from the left flew directly into the net despite an attempt by a Bay defender to head it clear.
Soon after a beautifully-worked goal made it three at half time. Lowri Thomas broke from the left into midfield and found Ffion Owen, whose through ball led to the 19-year-old Brown seeing off her marker and applying a calm and classy finish.
If there were any Queen fans in the crowd, they could well have been singing at this point…..

The scoring was complete in the 68th minute when another tremendous corner from the left by George was headed home in classic fashion by Llinos Hughes.
It was Hughes’ third goal in a Llangefni shirt and each time she has scored the team has won the match 4-0 – twice versus Trearddur Bay and once against Denbigh Town.
