For those North Wales women footballers not in action today there were plenty of other sporting events to catch their interest.
CPDM Bangor midfielder Mia Roberts took part in the Chester 10k and clocked an excellent time of 47.44.
The 20-year-old from Ynys Môn is a keen runner and 10k is the furthest distance she has tackled so far.
On the football field, Mia is quite an achiever.
In 2020-21, she was in the Penrhyn Bay side which reached the FAW Under-16 Welsh Cup Final, losing narrowly 4-3 to Barry Town United. She had represented CPDM Bangor U17s the season before.
Mia made her senior debut for CPDM Bangor as a 16-year-old in November 2021, also playing regularly for the Under-19s that campaign.
She netted 16 goals in 34 senior outings for Bangor before joining Amlwch Town for a brief spell at the start of 2023-24, scoring twice in five games prior to returning to the Citizens in October 2023.
Mia has remained at Bangor ever since, making 46 appearances and adding another six goals ro her tally, making her overall stats for the team 80 matches and 22 goals.
The gifted youngster has also represented Ynys Môn at the 2023 and 2025 Island Games, scoring in a 3-2 win over Jersey at Guernsey in 2023.
