NWC LLANDUDNO KIA WOMEN’S LEAGUE – MARCH 8, 2026

Kinmel Bay 3 (Perry 19, Seren Williams 79, Nettleton 89)
Caernarfon Town 1 (Elan Evans 54)

Kinmel Bay Ladies claimed an impressive 3–1 victory over Caernarfon Town Ladies in a fast-paced and competitive encounter, with both sides showing determination and quality throughout the 90 minutes.
The first half began with both teams applying pressure and looking to create early opportunities. Kinmel Bay spent much of the opening period on the front foot, keeping play largely in the visitors’ half and pushing forward with attacking intent.
Despite the pressure, Caernarfon goalkeeper Kimberley Glyn was in excellent form. She produced several important saves to deny Kinmel Bay and keep her side firmly in the contest. Caernarfon also looked dangerous when breaking forward, ensuring the half remained competitive as both teams searched for the opening goal.
The breakthrough came in the 19th minute. Amy Chesters threaded a perfectly weighted ball back to Friday’s birthday girl Lucy Perry, who controlled it well before unleashing a thunderous strike into the top right corner, giving Kinmel Bay a deserved 1–0 lead.
The remainder of the half saw both teams battling hard in midfield, but Kinmel Bay held on to their slender advantage as the sides went into the break at 1–0.
The second half started with renewed energy and an increased tempo. Caernarfon came out strongly and began applying sustained pressure on the Kinmel Bay defence.
Their persistence paid off in the 54th minute when Megan Williams delivered a precise pass into the path of Elan Evans, who calmly fired her shot past Shelby Wild to bring Caernarfon level at 1–1.

With the scores level, the match opened up and could have gone either way. Both teams attacked with pace, creating an exciting spell of end-to-end football. Kinmel Bay made a couple of substitutions to bring on fresh legs, which helped them regain momentum.
In the 79th minute, Kinmel Bay skipper Seren Williams produced a moment of quality. After controlling the ball from a Chesters header, Williams drove forward before slotting the ball just inside the post and past the goalkeeper to restore Kinmel Bay’s lead.
Williams continued to influence the game and, just 10 minutes later, turned provider. She played a well-timed long ball into the path of Jess Nettleton, who carried the ball forward at pace before calmly placing her finish into the left corner to seal the victory and make it 3–1.
Both teams showed great spirit throughout the match, but Kinmel Bay’s quality in the closing stages proved decisive.
