NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – FEBRUARY 21, 2026

PREMIER DIVISION

CPD Llansannan 6 Llandudno Junction 0

Leaders Llansannan will surely enter this Saturday’s home crunch clash with second-place Llandudno Amateurs full of confidence after their dismantling of Junction at the weekend.

Ben Allis was a hat-trick hero for the table-toppers in a six-goal demolition of the Railwaymen.

Llansannan had not beaten the Junction in their last six attempts, but certainly put that right in the latest meeting.

Lewys Jones opened the scoring with his 19th goal of the season, Luke Molmans added a second and Allis made it three in first half stoppage time.

In the second half, Allis struck again on 54 minutes and completed his treble from the spot after 68.

Elis Davies compounded Junction’s misery with a late sixth.

Llansannan are now five points clear at the summit although Llandudno Amateurs have four games in hand.

Honours even at Go Goodwins Stadium as the Amateurs made it eight games without defeat and third-place Kinmel Bay maintained their unbeaten league record this season.

This was a fantastic game of football between two great, well-matched teams.

Amateurs took the lead inside 20 minutes when Billy Sieben was brought down by keeper James Roberts and Joe Jones converted the resultant penalty.

The outstanding James Roberts

The hosts were on top and creating chances but two outstanding saves by Roberts kept Bay in the game.

Kinmel Bay started to wake up and equalised on 39 minutes.

Charlie Jones was brought down by a trailing leg inside the box to win his side a penalty.

Matty Beach took the kick, Kyle King produced a superb save, but Bay’s Matty Rees was sharpest to react and followed up to put the ball into the net.

The second half was very even with both teams playing good football and working hard.

Amateurs forced Roberts into another couple of excellent saves and an outstanding block from McKenzie Slaven denied Danny Hughes a certain goal.

Bay hit the post from a Sean Sheridan header and were denied by a tremendous point-blank save by King..

Amateurs finished with 10 men after Scott Kearney was shown a second yellow card with 20 seconds remaining.

Mochdre Sports 4 Conwy Borough Swifts 3

Match-winner Paddy Hold

Paddy Hold’s 88th minute decider ensured Mochdre shaded a hard-fought local derby.

Both sides were goal crazy in a first half which ended 3-3.

Will Edwards put Mochdre one-up on 11 minutes with a marvellous left-foot finish from 20 yards which cleared a defender on the goal-line after Boro got into a tangle at the back on the difficult surface.

Gareth Jones made it two after 28, heading in from close range via a Niall Owen corner.

In the 35th minute, a right-sided cross into the box by Conwy’s Sam Jones was volleyed past his own keeper by Alex Bowell.

Then a great turn and finish inside the box by Ollie Clarke levelled the scores.

A minute later, Leon Hender edged Mochdre back in front with a left-foot finish following an Owen through ball.

On the stroke of half time, an Isaac Carey cross from the right was glanced home by Ceiran Williams, who made it 11 goals in iseven games.

And that was the end of the scoring until that late Hold winner. A long ball from the back caught out the away defence, and although keeper Felix Domagala kept out the initial shot, Hold was on hand to notch the all-important seventh goal of the derby.

CPD Y Glannau 8 Glan Conwy 1

Four-goal Harrison Bellis moved up to 23 for the season as Glannau ended a five-game run without a win by thrashing bottom side Glan Conwy.

Dominic Holland added a double, while subs Owain Jones and Andrew George also found the net for the hosts, Cyril Carey converting a consolation penalty for the visitors.

DIVISION ONE

CPD Blue Bridge 3 Llysfaen 1

Victory came at a price for Blue Bridge as two-goal hero Joe Smith suffered a broken ankle in the first half.

Skipper Smith had scored after 7 and 20 minutes to put BB ahead, Ben Franks replying for Llysfaen, before the home side’s match-winner’s unfortunate injury.

Thomas Bamber sealed the win for Jordie Baker’s side with a 73rd minute penalty, a fifth success of the season keeping the Rhyl side in fifth place.

There was a double sending-off in the 87th minute, Llysfaen’s Joshua Williams and Bridge sub Damien Butler both receiving red cards.

Speedy recovery Joe.

Llandyrnog United 4 Prestatyn Wanderers 1

Luke Appleby (2), Jack James and Rob Hurst shared the goals which put Llandyrnog level on points with second-place Penrhyn Bay.

Thomas Dodd replied for Wanderers from the penalty spot.
