News on semi-final draws for men’s and women’s Welsh Cup

The JD Welsh Cup and Bute Energy Welsh Cup Semi-Final draws will both be live on S4C show Heno on Monday 9 February.

The last four in the JD Welsh Cup are CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876, Caernarfon Town, Flint Town United and CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

It is the first time in 133 years – and only the second time ever in the competition’s history that dates back to 1877 – that all four semi-finalists are from North Wales.

Yet the final is set to be held at Rodney Parade in Newport, South Wales. The FAW appear to not be even considering moving the final to the north in these extremely unusual circumstances, despite the fact it would help all the four clubs and their supporters immensely and lead to the sort of massive attendance Hensol are celebrating loudly when it comes to the Cymru Premier.

In the words of Reel 2 Real feat. The Mad Stuntman (well nearly)……

FAW……

You need to move it, move it
You need to move it, move it
You need to move it, move it
Now it’s time to…..MOVE IT! 🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵

The quarter-finals of the Bute Energy Women’s Welsh Cup take place this Sunday, February 8.

Line-up:

Cardiff City v The New Saints
Carmarthen Town v Wrexham
Cwmbran Celtic v Briton Ferry Llansawel
Swansea City v Llandudno
