Major thanks to all clubs for use of their photographs and information

Tom Freeman (Chirk AAA to FC Queen’s Park)

Great capture for the Park of a player who had scored 12 goals for North East Wales Division 1 strugglers Chirk AAA this season before deciding to move on from Holyhead Road.
Last season, Freeman netted 21 times for Chirk before a March switch to Brickfield Rangers, who he helped win the Ardal North East title and promotion to the Tier 2 Cymru North.
Also a terrific marksman in the past for the now disbanded Chirk Town, as well as Gresford Athletic.

Mike Chapman (Crozzy to Llysfaen)

Much-travelled marksman with a tremendous goalscoring record who found the net on his debut for Llysfaen on January 17.
In 2024-25, the 36-year-old netted 18 times for a Rhos United side which won the North Wales Coast East Division One title and REM Jones Cup double as invincibles.
The previous season, Chapman hit 24 goals for NWCE Division One runners-up Llandudno Amateurs.
In 2022-23, the front man pocketed 10 goals in 13 outings for Prestatyn-based Bow in their debut season.
The 2021-22 season was particularly prolific for Chapman as he scored 16 goals in 12 games for Llanelwy Athletic and 23 in 22 appearances for Llandudno Amateurs.
Previous goal-getting figures are not so easy to find, but in Llandudno Albion’s debut season of 2014-15, he struck 37 times and went on to excel for Llandudno Amateurs, Llanfairfechan Town and briefly with Llandudno Athletic.

Ste Kirk (CPD Y Glannau to Kinmel Bay)

Dynamic striker whose 13 goals and seven assists for CPD Y Glannau this season prompted Kinmel Bay’s successful bid to sign him.
Kirk had joined Y Glannau in early 2024-25, going on to score 22 times in 21 outings in the North Wales Coast East Premier.
Spent a few prior seasons with CPD Gronant, notching 63 goals, and has also represented Llandudno Amateurs in the past.

Matty Roberts (Cemaes Bay to CPD Llanerchymedd)

Roberts can play in midfield or in an attacking role. He is a dynamic player, good with the ball at his feet.
His other previous clubs include Bryngwran Bulls, Cefni and Holyhead Town.
Llanerchymedd manager Iwan Williams commented “I’m delighted to finally capture Matty as I’ve been a big admirer of his footballing ability for a few years now and really looking forward to seeing him plying his trade at Tan Parc.”
Roberts, 35, had been with Cemaes since 2021-22, bagging a total of 38 goals for the club.

Lloyd Ellams (to Prestatyn Town)

Ellams, an experienced midfielder, joins Prestatyn Town as a free agent and has played all over the footballing pyramid, including scoring in League Two and registering more than 50 National League North appearances.
In North Wales, he has represented a few clubs including Flint Mountain, where he won the Ardal North West title and NEWFA Challenge Cup under current Prestatyn boss Aden Shannon in 2023-24, Penycae, Conwy Borough, Rhyl FC and Colwyn Bay.
He scored Chester City’s last goal in the Football League in 2008-09, and other English clubs he has turned out for include Stalybridge Celtic, Marine, Blacon Youth, Droylsden and Skelmersdale United.

Arthur Hancock (CPD Y Rhyl 1879 to Prestatyn Town – LOAN)

Winger Hancock, 19, joins Prestatyn on a loan deal valid until the end of May from CPD Y Rhyl 1879.
The young and exciting wide man joined the Lilywhites from Sandbach this summer and has featured for them on 13 occasions this season.

Kian Owen (CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 to Prestatyn Town)

Formerly Colwyn Bay, Conwy Borough and Menai Bridge Tigers player switches to Tier 3 Prestatyn Town from CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876.
The attack-minded left-sided defender lands at Bastion Gardens with plenty of experience at the age of 23, registering 38 Tier 2 and 41 Tier 3 appearances so far in his career.

Leo Latter (CPD Y Rhyl 1879 to Prestatyn Town – LOAN)

The commanding centre back has represented Sandbach United, Port Vale, Harrogate Town and has made 17 appearances for Rhyl 1879 this season – the club he joins Prestatyn on loan from.

Owen Davies (Colwyn Bay to Denbigh Town – LOAN)

Back at Denbigh following a previous 18-month spell at Central Park when he pocketed 31 goals in 51 appearances for the Cymru North club.
And he hit the ground running on his Denbigh comeback in midweek, finding the net in a 3-2 win over Guilsfield.
Davies first joined Denbigh on loan in January 2024 from The New Saints where he quickly made an impact, scoring 10 goals in 14 games for Town.
He signed permanently that summer making 36 appearances for the club and scoring 21 goals, also being nominated for JD Cymru North Young Player of the Year.
Davies joined newly-promoted Cymru Premier club Colwyn Bay in the summer, making his debut as a substitute against Caernarfon Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup. He made his top flight debut a week later against TNS.
Davies made nine Seagulls appearances in the league as a substitute and returns to Town for more minutes on the pitch.

Asa Thomas (Cemaes Bay to CPD Boded)

Goal machine Thomas makes Tier 4 Boded his 10th Ynys Môn club after beginning the season at Cemaes Bay.
Believed to be North Wales senior football’s all-time highest scorer with 738 goals, the 34-year-old aims to get Boded climbing up the North Wales Coast West Premier Division table.
Thomas’ transfer was subject to a more in-depth article on Grassroots North Wales yesterday, so we’ll keep this one shorter.

Rhyss Nash (Colwyn Bay to Mold Alexandra – LOAN)

Midfield ace returns to Alyn Park on loan having left the Alex after many years of service at the start of 2024-25 to join Colwyn Bay.
Won the Cymru North title with the Bay last season, featuring in 25 league games, but unable to command a regulat place with the Seagulls in the Cymru Premier this season, so is back with former club Mold for the time being.
Nash, 30, first joined the Alex in 2015 after stints at Airbus UK Broughton and Glantraeth.
Spent numerous seasons with Mold, where he won the Ardal North West title and FAW Amateur Trophy in 2021-22 before the club rose up to the Cymru North, lifting the Welsh Blood Service League Cup northern and national trophies in 2023-24. He scored in a 4-2 win over Briton Ferry Llansawel in the national final at Latham Park, Newtown.

Cymru North title hopefuls Airbus have boosted their strike force with the signing of Jake Roberts from Gresford.
Roberts, 29, joined Athletic at the start of this season and notched 17 goals from 24 appearances across all competitions.
He spent 2024-25 at Holywell Town, where he suffered a serious injury, was with Mold Alexandra in 2023-24, hitting 25 goals as the Flintshire club won the Welsh Blood Service League Cup northern and national trophy double and prior to that was a consistent marksman at Buckley Town
