Goal king Asa Thomas joins his 10th Ynys Môn club

North Wales football’s record goalscorer Asa Thomas has joined his 10th Ynys Môn club.

The 34-year-old has signed for CPD Boded of the Tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier Division after beginning the current season at Cemaes Bay.

Thomas is believed to be the all-time highest marksman in North Wales football with 738 goals scored over 18 competitive seasons.

He notched 14 goals in 16 appearances for Cemaes this term before deciding on a move to CPD Boded.

Thomas previously represented Bodedern Athletic in their Tier 4 title-winning side of 2021-22, scoring 58 goals.

A CPD Boded statement said: “He will certainly add more goals to the team, but not only that he also links up play well, can pick out a pass, he’s deadly from set piece situations and will bring more experience and leadership to the squad for the second half of the season.

“We can’t wait to see Asa adding a fair few on to his career goal tally for the Green and white Army this season, a huge boost for the squad as we look to push on in the second half of the season.”.
