NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – REPORTS JANUARY 17

PREMIER DIVISION

Glan Conwy 0 Llandudno Amateurs 4

A sixth straight win for the Amateurs put them top of the Premier Division.
However, it was a far from easy assignment for the visitors against a Glan Conwy outfit who would have scored a few themselves but for the excellent goalkeeping of Kyle King.
Azz Rogers and Joe Jones netted on 14 and 33 minutes respectively to give Amateurs a two-goal interval lead.
Chris Smyth and Jones’ second completed the scoring in the second half.

CPD Cerrigydrudion 1 CPD Llansannan 0

Unbeaten in their first 11 league games, previous leaders Llansannan have now lost two on the bounce.
Tirion Griffiths’ 70th minute goal from a Vaughan Evans assist was enough to secure Cerrig maximum points.
Llansannan manager Joe Maguire was shown a red card on 68 minutes and Tomos Hughes also received his marching orders for the visitors after 89.

Conwy Borough Swifts 5 Rhos United 2

Conwy’s much improved form continued at the expense of Rhos.
Frank Montgomery, Sam Jones, sub Shae Pugh, Jacob Guy and Cieran Williams shared the home goals, Ryan Gizzi and Adam Williams replying.

Kinmel Bay 1 Llanfairfechan Town 1

The last visiting team to win at Kinmel Bay in the league were 12 minutes away from repeating the feat on Saturday.
Not since December 16, 2023, when Llanfairfechan Town triumphed 4-3 at Y Morfa, have Bay lost at home in the North Wales Coast East Premier – 26 games ago.
Fast forward to January 17, 2026, and Dan Hughes handed Llanfairfechan a 30th minute lead.
Town suffered a blow in first half added time when they had Sion Devereux red-carded.
Kinmel Bay were frustrated in their efforts to equalise against the 10 men until the 78th minute, when Connor Morris notched his 15th goal of the season from a Matty Rees assist.
Bay’s search for a winner proved fruitless, but they are still unbeaten in the league this season – a nine-game run.

Llandudno Junction 1 CPD Y Glannau 1

Harrison Bellis’ 19th goal of the campaign gave Y Glannau a fifth-minute lead, but George Roberts equalised on 32 and 1-1 is how it stayed.

DIVISION ONE

CPD Blue Bridge 2 Rhuddlan Town 4

Captain Liam Bowers scored all four goals for Rhuddlan in Saturday’s victory at Blue Bridge.
Bowers’ fifth hat-trick of the season moved him onto 25 league and cup goals. One of his net-finders came via a penalty.
On his return to the club, Bridge top-scorer Jonny Mee scored twice to make it 2-1 at the hosts at the break. Bowers having ended the deadlock in the eighth minute.
Just past the midway point of the second half, three goals in seven minutes from Bowers settled the match.

Llandyrnog United 0 Prestatyn Sports 2

Leaders Sports made it six straight league wins – and no losses in eight – with a two-goal success at Cae Nant.
Mike Jones’ 21st first team goal of the season began the scoring on 20 minutes, Alfie Griffiths with the assist.
Haydan Kivell netted for the fourth successive game when he made it 2-0 after 33, Sam Herd the chance supplier.
Although Griffiths missed a 77th minute penalty, the final outcome was not affected.

Penrhyn Bay 3 Llysfaen 1

Second-place Penrhyn Bay emerged victorious thanks to goals from Aaron Gregson, 17-year-old Hari Bartlett and sub Corey-Lee Roberts.
New signing Mike Chapman netted on his debut for the battling bottom side to make it 2-1 after 63 minutes.

Prestatyn Wanderers 2 CPD Henllan 5

Wanderers led twice at home to Henllan but ended up 5-2 losers.
Wes Hancocks and Barry Roche struck for the hosts, Harry Payne replying twice, Liam Davies and Dan Lewis adding one apiece to make it 4-2 at the break.
Ryan Lowe scored the only goal of the second half on 58 minutes.
